Today Fläkt Woods Group announces the acquisition of Airchal Concept. The company has been renamed Airchal SAS and become formally part of the Group with effect from 1 January 2009.

Airchal SAS is specialized for high value air handling units for special applications (agro, hygiene) as well as for commercial buildings. The Company is Eurovent certified for T2 TB2 design and has some significant references in France and abroad, with examples of Glaxo & Sanofi for pharma plants and Carial & Tipiak for food industry as well as commercial buildings like Airport of Marseille.

The aim is to develop the Air Climate activity of Fläkt Woods in France, and this will reinforce our presence, where we are already a leader in the Air Movement sector through the activities of Fläkt Solyvent Ventec.

With the support of the Fläkt Woods Group, Airchal SAS will continue to develop its core activity of the design and manufacturing of Air Handling Units. Airchal SAS consists of around 30 employees and has a manufacturing operation of 6000 sqm in Northern France, near the city of Amiens.

The Airchal SAS team is led by Jean-Claude LEBARON – Managing Director & Chief Finance Officer.
