Fläkt Woods Korea has been awarded contracts worth over 3 MEUR to supply 96 sets of Air Handling Units for K-PROJECT in Korea.
The customer in the project is GS Engineering & Construction (formerly LG E&C), a top Korean partner for architecture, civil engineering, housing and plant industry. The contract is the largest undertaken by Flakt Woods Korea this year.
The K-PROJECT consists of building a commercial centre in Yeongdeongpo, Seoul. The area is within a close distance from the National Assembly, national broadcasting studios, and the booming financial district in Korea.
There are many shopping areas developed, including major department stores such as Kyung bang Phil, Lotte, ShinSeGye, other traditional markets and subway malls. The shopping population amounts to one million people shopping per day.
The ambitious plan of GS E&C is to create a global Hybrid Mall (department store, hotel, office 1&2, UEC, and multiplex (total 60,390 m2).
Fläkt Woods Korea was able to get the order thanks to their good reputation in Quality in the local market. The sales personnel kept constant contact with the developers during three years from the design initiative. The Design & Technical staff were offered timely support during the project.
The customers (both project owner & construction company) are convinced that FW Korea is able to manage this big project, while maintaining good quality and keeping up with the construction schedule.
Fläkt Woods Korea is hoping to get a further order of AHU Fans for Office 1&2 and hotel of this project.
