Fläkt Woods has developed a standardised range of pre-engineered axial flow fans for offshore and commercial naval applications.

Previously these markets were addressed on a design to order basis with the attendant high cost and extended delivery times.

The new product range extends from 400mm to 1600mm diameter and has a heavy duty, corrosion resistant construction to handle the arduous environment of the application. A guide vane option is available, providing up to 17% increase in performance for a given fan selection.

Hazardous area and ATEX requirements are also accommodated, enabling the widest possible range of requirements to be met straight from the catalogue.

Remarking on the launch Martyn Pitcher, Fläkt Woods OEICS Division said “The new range enables us to provide an immediate supply of commercial fans with the widest possible range of requirements, met straight from the catalogue.”
