FläktWoods Transfers Varofoil Fan Production

Fairfield, Ohio – January, 2006 – American Fan Company, member of the FläktWoods Group, is announcing a change in production responsibility for the Varofoil Axial Fan line.

Beginning in January of 2006 American Fan Company (AFC) will be responsible for supplying Varofoil fans and components to support FläktWoods’ global sales efforts and install base. AFC has a successful history of meeting the needs of the Varofoil market throughout the Americas. With this transition now complete AFC has the production team and resources necessary to supply the global market.

The Varofoil Fan features in flight pitch angle adjustment, which allows it to maintain constant pressure, according to system requirements. The fan's pitch angle is varied up and down while the fan is running at full speed or at rest and operates at static pressures as high as 13”. The Varofoil can be used in a broad range of applications including, but not limited to, commercial HVAC ventilation, on-board marine HVAC, smoke spill, and numerous industrial cooling and ventilation applications. Over 50,000 Varofoil fans have been installed in sporting arenas, convention centers, hotels, airports, ships, office buildings and production facilities around the world.
